Selecting the best evidence based model from a burgeoning array of models to use in a nurse practice setting is critical in ensuring efficient healthcare service delivery, knowledge management and change in organizational culture. According to Stevens (2013), various nursing models have specific key features and criteria upon which their usefulness are evaluated and applied to guide practice change and facilitate the process of evidence-based practice.
